Ways to sign in

Sign in with a password, an email link, a passkey, or Google or GitHub, and set a password on an account that has none.

Updated 1 November 2026

You sign in to the Mailyoto dashboard at app.mailyoto.com with your email address, then one of the ways below.

Before you start

  • The email address you signed up with.

Choose a way in#

On Sign in, pick one:

WayWhat to do
Email linkType your email and select Email me a sign-in link
PasswordType your email, select Sign in with a password, then type the password
PasskeySelect Sign in with a passkey. You don’t type your email

Every account can sign in with an email link. A password works once you set one.

If two-factor authentication is on, a 6-digit code from your authenticator app follows, whichever way you signed in.

Password#

Type it at Password and select Sign in.

If you forgot it, select Forgot your password? and follow the link in the email. The link works once, for 30 minutes. A new password set from it signs out every device, then signs in the browser you set it in.

Select Email me a sign-in link, or Email me a sign-in link instead on the password page. The email’s subject is “Your Mailyoto sign-in link”. The link works once and expires in 20 minutes.

The page shows the same message for every address, so it doesn’t say whether an account uses it. If no email comes, check that you typed the address you signed up with.

No email? Select Resend link on the page, and check your spam folder.

Passkey#

Select Sign in with a passkey on the first page, or pick the passkey when your browser suggests it in the email field. Your device asks for your fingerprint, face or PIN. See passkeys to add one.

Google or GitHub#

Select Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub under the email field, where they are offered.

Set or change a password#

  1. Open the password card#

Open Account in the sidebar, then the Security tab, and find the Password card.

An account without a password reads “Your account has no password yet.”

  2. Type the new password#

Type the new password twice, in New password and Repeat new password. It needs at least 8 characters.

If the account has a password already, type it in Current password first.

  3. Save it#

Select Set password, or Change password if you had one.

Mailyoto signs out every other device. This one stays signed in.

Once a password is set, it stays: the dashboard has no way to remove it, and sign-in stops sending email links.

How long you stay signed in#

A device signs out after 7 days unused. It also signs out 21 days after it signed in, even if you use it every day. To sign out of this device at once, select Sign out at the bottom of the sidebar. To see every device signed in to your account and sign out the others, use Signed-in devices.

Sign-in is refused after several tries

Mailyoto limits how often one address or one network can try to sign in. Wait a minute, then try again with the right password or a reset link.

The sign-in link has expired

The page reads “This link has expired”. Links work once, for 20 minutes. Select Go to the sign-in page and ask for a new one.
