Mailyoto can't send mail for your domain yet
The refusal your mail app shows while your domain has no DKIM record, and the records that fix it.
Pro or Max plan Updated 29 October 2026
Your mail app, or your script, can’t send through Mailyoto and shows this refusal:
550 5.7.1 We can't send mail for lunavera.com: we found no DKIM record for it.
When the DNS lookup times out or fails, the refusal is temporary and your app tries again by itself:
451 4.4.3 We can't send mail for lunavera.com yet: its DKIM lookup timed out. Try again later.
A failed lookup ends with its DKIM lookup failed, the reason in brackets, and Try again later.
Why it happens#
Mailyoto signs every email you send with DKIM for your own domain.
Before it sends, it looks for your DKIM record at yoto1._domainkey or yoto2._domainkey, and it refuses the email when it finds neither.
The dashboard asks for more: both DKIM records, the SPF record and at least 1 SMTP credential before the Sending pill shows a tick. Add both records, because Mailyoto signs with each of them in turn. A DMARC record is recommended, but sending works without one.
Fix it#
-
Open the Sending records#
Open Domains, choose your domain, then the DNS tab. The Sending table lists the 2 DKIM records for your domain.
-
Add both CNAME records at your DNS provider#
Add them exactly as the table shows them. Most domains use these values.
- CNAME 1, host
- yoto1._domainkey
- CNAME 1, target
- yoto1.yotosend.com
- CNAME 2, host
- yoto2._domainkey
- CNAME 2, target
- yoto2.yotosend.com
Setting up DKIM has the full steps.
-
Check the records#
Back on the DNS tab, choose Check DNS. Both DKIM rows show a tick once your DNS provider publishes them.
-
Send the email again#
Send the same message from your mail app or script.
Confirm it worked#
The email is sent without an error. Open Logs, choose Sent under Type, and find it with Delivered as its status.
The DKIM rows still show a cross
Some DNS providers add your domain to the host you type, which creates yoto1._domainkey.lunavera.com.lunavera.com.
Enter only yoto1._domainkey as the host.
If your DNS provider offers a proxy for records, as Cloudflare does, set both CNAME records to DNS only.
I use a white-label domain
Your DKIM records point at your white-label domain instead. The DNS tab shows the right targets, and Domain Settings lists the white-label records under White-label.
I'm on the Free plan and get a different refusal
