Change billing details and VAT number

Keep the name, address and tax ID on your receipts and tax invoices up to date in Polar's billing portal, and set your billing email.

Pro or Max plan Updated 29 October 2026

Polar, the merchant of record for Mailyoto plans, holds your billing details. The name, address and tax ID on your receipts and tax invoices are the ones Polar has.

Before you start

  • A Pro or Max subscription.
  • Your company’s VAT number or other tax ID, if you want it on your tax invoices.

  1. Open Polar’s billing portal#

Open Billing in the sidebar. On the Payment method card, select Open billing portal.

  2. Change the details there#

Update your billing name, address or tax ID in the portal and save them.

Polar uses the new details for the payments that follow.

  3. Set the billing email#

Back in Mailyoto, open Account. On the Profile card, type the address into Billing email, then select Save profile.

It defaults to your account email.

The Profile card’s other fields#

The Profile card also has Name or company, Address, Country and Tax ID. Polar’s checkout doesn’t receive them, and your receipts don’t print them. Change billing details in Polar’s portal instead.

Receipts already made#

Mailyoto makes each receipt the first time you download it, and keeps that copy. A receipt you have already downloaded keeps the details it was made with. New details show on later payments.

Polar refuses your VAT number

Polar checks each tax ID before it accepts it. Check the number and its country prefix, then enter it again in the portal.
