Download receipts and tax invoices

Polar sells Mailyoto plans as the merchant of record. A payment gives you 2 documents: a receipt from the Mailyoto dashboard, and a tax invoice from Polar.

1. Open your receipts#

   Open Billing in the sidebar and find the Receipts card.

   Each row is one payment, with its Reference, Date and Amount. A refund shows a Refund tag.

2. Download one#

   Select Download on the row.

   The PDF saves with the reference as its name, such as MYO202610-1234.pdf.

What the receipt shows#

The PDF is titled “Receipt”, or “Refund receipt” for a refund. It shows:

• the seller: Polar Software, Inc., merchant of record, on behalf of Mailyoto
• who it is billed to: the name and billing address from Polar’s checkout, and your billing email
• the subtotal, any discount, the tax and the total paid, in US dollars

The tax invoice#

Polar issues the tax invoice for each payment.

1. On Billing, find the Payment method card.
2. Select Open billing portal.
3. Download the tax invoice from Polar’s portal.

Polar also emails you a receipt for each payment.

Choose where billing emails go#

Polar’s checkout starts with your billing email. The same address is printed on your receipts. It is your account email until you set another one:

1. Open Account in the sidebar.
2. On the Profile card, type the address into Billing email.
3. Select Save profile.

Leave the field empty to use your account email again.

The receipt can't be downloaded

The message reads “We could not download receipt” with the reference. Try again in a moment. If it keeps failing, write to support@mailyoto.com with the reference.

The Receipts card says No receipts yet

Receipts appear after your first payment. If you have just paid, wait until Billing confirms the payment, then reload the page.
